A Warm Welcome

Hello, my name is Fardin Jussab and I have a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, I am a registered member of  the UK’s Health Care Professional Council and Chartered by the British Psychological Society.

Currently, I provide individual adult psychological therapy sessions to corporate clients presenting with various mental health issues.  My clients work in different organisations such such as banking & finance, accountancy, technology and law firms in the City of London. I am also working for the Harley street clinic providing psychological therapy to clients diagnosed with cancer.

Knowing when to come to therapy can be a difficult decision particularly allowing oneself to be open and vulnerable about how we are feeling. Most often clients continue to suffer in silence due various reasons and the fear of being judged or looking weak. This can be challenging as we often feel the need to cope regardless of how bad things are. However, we wouldn’t expect someone with a physical health injury to suffer in silence. Therefore, if we could use the same empathy for mental health issues it may allow one to seek support and find healthy coping mechanisms in order to reduce emotional pain.

Therapy is a personal and unique journey, people often come to see me for support for their general mental health issues, which include: anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem & confidence, etc. Additionally I also have the experience of dealing with clients who have had  commitment issues, addiction issues such as substance misuse, alcohol, sex and gambling, and childhood issues and traumas.

I have worked in different organisations. This has allowed me to increase my experience, knowledge and skills of working with a wide range of clients. I have experience of working in both, the NHS and in private practice.

As a Counselling Psychologist I place an emphasis upon a client led therapy through the therapeutic alliance by giving the client the power to lead the therapy in a way that would be beneficial for them. I have had experience of working with a number of clients over the years, the main emphasis is upon building a trusting and therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, which contributes to client empowerment. I am aware on how important this process is first hand, as counselling psychology training encourages trainees and psychologists to have undergone personal therapy themselves as part of understanding the experience of sitting in the client's chair. Overall I will always have my clients' best interest at heart when working with them therapeutically.

I am insured by most healthcare insurance companies, which include BUPA, AXAPP, Vitality, Allianz Worldwide Care as well as others.

At the centre of my practice is developing the client to feel empowerment and to take control over their life.
